Happy 4th!

Happy Independence Day everyone!

For this mani, I used Zoya Lisa (2 coats) and OPI Swimsuit...Nailed It! (2 coats) for the ring finger and thumb. I stamped the stars using Mash plate #49 and Konad special polish in white. I stamped the wavy stripes using Cheeky plate #4 also with Konad white.
Super simple and festive!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday! See you again soon!

OPI Mod About You

**Products in this post were purchased by me with my own funds. I am not sponsored by or affiliated with any companies mentioned.**

How about something short and sweet? =)
This is my second favorite color ever, coming in just behind China Glaze's beautiful but impossible to photograph Flip Flop Fantasy. Mod About You is my perfect light pink. Soft, milky, girly, beautiful! Every time I wear this color, I catch myself staring at my nails. It's just such a calm and soothing color. And I always feel a little bit sad when it comes time to take it off.
On to the pics.

I purchased Mod About You from Ulta for around $8.50. You can now purchase OPI polishes at www.ulta.com.

Color Club Eternal Beauty

**All products in this post were purchased by me with my own funds**

Another holo today. =) I do love my holos.
This is Color Club Eternal Beauty. Such a fitting name!

This is two coats over a base coat of Essie Feed Me with one coat of Seche Vite on top. Again, top coat does not dull the holo at all!

The Color Club Halo Hues are available at enospring.com, 8ty8beauty.com, head2toebeauty.com, and transdesign.com. I'm sure there are other retailers that sell the Halo Hues, but the sellers I've listed I have actually had experience with, so I feel comfortable recommending them.
Thanks for stopping by! See you next time!

Color Club Over The Moon

**All products in this post were purchased by me with my own funds**

I love holos. Like crazy! The Color Club Halo Hues are some of the best holos I've come across. This is Over The Moon, a beautiful blue.

Camera Flash
This is two coats over a coat of Essie Feed Me base coat and a coat of Seche Vite on top. Top coat did not dull the holo effect at all in my opinion. Formula was excellent for a holo. No balding, no streaks. In some lights it looks like my picture, and in others it's not quite as dark. In all lights, it's beautiful!
Natural sunlight.
The Color Club Halo Hues are available on enospring.com, 8ty8beauty.com, head2toebeauty.com, and transdesign.com. I have purchased from all four of these sellers in the past and can vouch for them all.

Thanks for stopping by!

Fish Egg Wedding Nails

**All products in this post were purchased by me with my own funds**

My sweet friend and coworker tied the knot yesterday, and these are her wedding nails I painted for her. =)
This is two coats of Sinful Colors Snow Me White with Essie Shine of the Times on top. On the accent nail I painted the same two colors, then added white/clear  microbeads that I purchased at Michael's. I borrowed the idea for these nails from another blogger who basically did the same nails minus the french tip, and now, for the life of me, I can't remember who the blogger was and can't seem to find the original picture anywhere! If anyone knows the picture I'm referring to (or if it was your picture) PLEASE let me know! I would dearly love to give credit to whomever I stole borrowed this idea from. (EDIT: I finally found the original artist. It was Lacquer and Lattes. Click the link to see her original post.) Thanks for stopping by!

Independance Day Nails

Okay, so I know this is late in coming, but I wanted to post my 4th of July nails before I got any farther behind. For this look, I confess I was actually a little bored and wanted to just throw some different things together and see what happened.

My base color is OPI 'The Show Must Go On!'. I bought this color on a whim, and I actually really love it. It's a red duochrome that flashes a coppery-orange. My pictures do this color no justice, but you can catch a glimpse of the duochrome in the bottle in the first pic. I applied two coats of the OPI, and then stamped my ring finger with Kleancolor White and Metallic Sapphire using my MASH stamping plate #49. I really loved the outcome, and considered stamping all of my nails the same, but I was afraid it would be a little too much. So I moved on to my next idea. I added the little white stars to the base of my other nails. This was pretty but needed something. For my last step, I used a dotting tool to dot some nail glue down the sides of my nails and applied a sparkly blue nail foil called Caribbean Tides, purchased from DollarNailArt.com. I finished it off with a coat of Wet n Wild clear polish (to avoid wrinkling the foil), and, when that had dried, a coat of Seche Vite. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out.
So now that I have my 4th of July nails posted, I don't feel quite as much like a slacker! I hope everyone had a safe and happy 4th!

Until next time,
Peace&Polish!

Claire's Paradise

My boyfriend and I have an awesome friend who works at Claire's (Hi April!! *waves*), and every time we stop in to visit with her, I get drawn to the nail polish section like I'm caught in a tractor beam! Claire's always has a wide variety of pretty colors, and I just can't resist the urge to check them out. On my last visit, I picked up Paradise, a pinky-orange neon polish with beautiful blue shimmer!
(please forgive my short ring-finger nail. stupid breaks..)
Full sun

Shade
Wow...I'm a sucker for neons, and this one is stunning! Feel free to click and enlarge these pics, and check out that shimmer! Paradise is a little on the sheer side, but built up well. I'm thinking this was only two coats (sorry I can't quite remember). Because it is a neon, it dries to a satiny matte finish, but a coat of topcoat will give it a beautiful shine!
This color is still available at Claire's for around $5, and all of their polishes are buy one get one half off!
Until next time, Peace&Polish!
